Spaces available for free fitness courses in Ipswich and Felixstowe
June 25th, 2014People in Ipswich and Felixstowe are being encouraged to sign up to free fitness courses that are starting in both the towns next week. We are going to be running the six-week courses which will give people a taster of three different sports; boxing, spinning and water polo.
On Tuesday 1st July, ‘Begin to Spin’ will start in Ipswich from 10.00-11.30am, at our offices in Adelphi House on Turret Lane. ‘Begin to Box’ will also start in Felixstowe on Tuesday, from 6.30-8.00pm, at the White Collar Boxing Club. Both courses will take place every week until 5th August.
Meanwhile, ‘Beginners Water Polo’ will start at Fore Street Swimming Pool in Ipswich on Wednesday 2nd July and will run from 9.00-10.30am every week until 6th August.
The sessions will focus on the basics of each of the sports and will aim to gradually increase fitness levels over the six weeks. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop a personal health plan with one of our Community Health Coaches. The plan will help them to set and achieve a personal goal of losing weight, eating healthier or staying active.
Dan Ford, Senior Community Health Coach at Live Well Suffolk, said: “These courses are ideal for people who are looking to try something new and get active for the summer. If you haven’t taken part in exercise or sport for a while, this is your opportunity to get back into something you will enjoy, develop your fitness and meet new people at the same time.”
Spaces for the three courses are still available and advance booking is required. For further details or to reserve your space, please call 01473 229292.
