Get Healthy, Get into Sport (GHGIS) is an innovative new scheme to help people become more active and therefore healthier. It provides practical and financial support to those that need it most.
To celebrate two years since the launch of GHGIS, we've put together important facts, figures and achievements into one infographic. Take a look below:

GHGIS is accessible through Live Well Suffolk’s Community Health Coach programmes, smoking cessation support and weight management courses.
Following a short assessment of an individual’s current physical activity levels, barriers to participation and favoured sports, those eligible are supported into the most appropriate activity with follow-up contact to check how they’re getting on.
Funded by Sport England and run in partnership with Suffolk County Council, GHGIS links Live Well Suffolk’s healthy lifestyles service with local sports providers and offers huge potential benefits to both individuals and community sports clubs - people are helped into an activity of their choice while sports providers gain new and enthusiastic members looking to build on their health changes.
The support we can offer is varied and depends entirely on the individual’s needs. Possible methods could include funding initial sessions at the club, subsidising transport or childcare, or even a representative from Live Well Suffolk attending the first session with the client.
