A free Latin-inspired dance course which is starting in Felixstowe next week will help the town’s residents to improve their health and wellbeing and increase their fitness levels.

Our six-week ‘Beginners Zumba’ course starts on Monday 1st February at Brackenbury Sports Centre on High Road East. The course will run from 11.30am – 1.00pm and will take place every Monday morning until Monday 7th March.

Zumba is becoming an increasingly popular fitness activity across the UK and our easy-to-follow course is ideal for people who are looking to try something different and take up a new hobby. It is also well suited to those who haven’t tried Zumba before but want to increase their fitness levels in a fun, friendly and non-judgemental environment.

The course will be run by an instructor from the leisure centre and our Community Health Coach, Sue Joyce, will also be working with participants to develop tailored health plans to help them achieve their personal lifestyle goals, whether it’s losing weight, eating healthier or keeping active.

Sue said: “We’re already a month into 2016 and although many people will have started the New Year by making resolutions to be more active, they may be struggling to find something that works for them. If that sounds like you and you’re looking for a fun and sociable hobby to enjoy, come along and join our Beginners Zumba course.

“The course is completely free to attend and even if you haven’t tried Zumba before or taken part in any physical activity in a while, this is a great opportunity to help you get back in the swing of things.”

Pre-booking for the course is essential. You can reserve your space by calling us on 01473 229292. Some eligibility criteria may also apply.
