Dietitians to answer questions during online web chat
May 14th, 2013We will be helping people to understand how they can make small changes to encourage healthier eating habits, thanks to an exclusive web chat which will take place on Thursday 23rd May (1.30pm-2.30pm).
During the online discussion, visitors will have the opportunity to ask any questions to our registered dietitians, Karen Davies and Heather Osborn. They will be able to offer hints and tips as to how to ensure you achieve your recommended five portions of fruit and vegetables a day, how to monitor your portion sizes and also make suggestions of how to avoid snacking.
Speaking ahead of the web chat, Heather Osborn, said: “With all of the different news headlines and reports, it’s easy to understand why people are confused about how to eat healthily. This is an opportunity for local people to ask us any question they have about healthy eating and it will also give us the chance to share our top tips on how to incorporate a healthier diet.”
She added: “During our online chat we can also give suggestions about how to eat well on a budget or offer advice on cooking methods for different types of food. All questions will be answered, so we would encourage anyone who has any queries to leave a message for us on our Facebook page.”
The live web chat will be available to all visitors to our Facebook page. Questions can be posted onto the ‘wall’ either in advance of the web chat or during the discussion which will last one hour. Questions can also be submitted in advance via our Twitter page
